We preside over enquiries and inquests pertaining to the issues regulated in terms of the provisions of Occupational Health and Safety Act, (“Act 85 of 1993”) and its Regulations. In addition, we assist our clients with compliance issues in respect of the mentioned Act and regulations promulgated thereunder. Mr Mafa possesses sound experience on Safety Law having represented various corporate clients by chairing inquests where employees either died or sustained serious injuries whilst on duty. We then prepare, based on the evidence that was presented by witnesses and the outcome of the inquests, a detailed report to be submitted by client to the Department of Labour.
